Hakusan Tedorigawa Geopark Mascots
They promote the Hakusan Tedorigawa Geopark.
Yuki (Snow) Mama wears a hat of snow-capped mountains with a pink morning glory, representing Mt. Hakusan. Her white body symbolizes snow, and she carries little Shizuku-chan, who symbolizes a drop of melted snow. They travel together around the geopark. As sightseeing ambassadors of Hakusan City, this mother and child hope to share the marvels of their hometown with the world.
The mother and child pairing of Yuki Mama and Shizuku-chan developed from the concept of fostering and nurturing life in the theme of the Hakusan Tedorigawa Geopark “water nurtures life on the way through the mountains, rivers, and sea.” Yuki Mama’s hat of snow-capped mountains is complemented by a pink morning glory and a green ribbon, symbolizing the rich and diverse flora of Mt. Hakusan. Her white body symbolizes snow, while her blue feet represent the life-giving water and rivers that flow down the mountain. Shizuku-chan rides on her mother’s back, representing a drop of melted snow. They would like to study the entire Geopark and introduce it to people, traveling there with them, and hope to let as many people as possible get to know it better.
