The Shiramine University Village was established on November 4 2022, based in Shiramine. University students from around Japan frequently visit the village and exchange with the local villagers, aiming to contribute to the local community as young "villagers". As of February 2024, 90 students from 33 universities have participated in this circle.

In collaboration with the Hakusan Tedorigawa Geopark Promotion Council, the Shiramine University Village will help to promote the geopark and incorporate the geopark into a variety of their activities.
