Komaiko Beach, located just south of the mouth of the Tedori River, is considered one of the 100 best beaches in Japan. It is said that it got its name because it looks like the Maiko-no-hama Beach in Hyogo Prefecture. Near the mouth of the river you can observe stones which make up the base of the Tedori River Basin.
