41st UNU Global Seminar in Kanazawa and Hakusan

From August 10 to 13, the 41st UNU Global Seminar was held in Kanazawa and Hakusan. From the 11th the participants moved to Shiramine in Hakusan City, to take part in the Hakusan-portion of the seminar. Here, starting with a talk about geoparks and Biosphere Reserves, the participants listened to a number of talks and joined discussions about various global issues.

During the seminar a field trip was held, and participants hiked to the wasabi field at the base of Mt. Hakusan, enjoying the beautiful nature of the area along the way.

People from around the world, including Africa, Asia, and South America, joined the program, and through Shiramine, were able to learn about many issues facing the world.
